Progress is made

April 10, 2012

Although I have not been able to sew as much as I wanted to for my SWAP, I have made some progress and I am not yet prepared to throw in the towel.

I have changed the plan slightly as I knew there was no way I’d be able to do two tailored coats by the end of April. I have removed the second coat: Vogue 8543 and replaced it with a second skirt. Since I really want a high waisted pencil skirt, I’m now making Burda 8155 out of a grey tweed.

A couple of the projects have taken much longer than I expected and I had to take a break and sew a costume for a friend so I’m definitely behind. In the meantime, I’ve also made another t-shirt which I think I will use to replace the second pair of trousers as I probably won’t have time to get to them.

I’ll have to see how much I get done this week. If I can finish one of the dresses, the pencil skirt, and cut out the trousers, I might still have a shot at it all.
